Biography
A Brief Background:
Felice's musical background began early when her father, Ernie Hernandez, toured the U.S. playing guitar with his show band, Orange Colored Sky, opening up for such acts as Burt Bacharach and Frank Sinatra. Her family eventually settled to Southern California when she reached age five. Although her natural ear for music was apparent, Felice's ability to sing was a little-known secret, due to shyness. She was much more comfortable to perform as a dancer through her adolescent years.
Felice went on to study at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, majoring in Humanities. During those years she pursued her interest in the music business through internships at Rhino Records and music management firms. In the summer of 1993, Felice found herself working as a back-up singer for Cecilia Noël and the Wild Clams, a group that was represented at one of the firms. Her first paid gig ever(!), every Monday night at the Baked Potato in Studio City. Being a "clam girl" was a crash course in professionalism and a priceless experience to work with the finest musicians around.
Since then, Felice has continued to sing with a number of great musicians both live and in the studio. She has a large range of styles: pop, funk, rock, latin and jazz. Felice is best regarded as an extremely versatile "all-purpose" vocalist, tackling lead vocals and ad libs with confidence, as well as creating smooth-blended background harmonies.
